Priscilla Lee, CSWA (they/ninh)

About me: Hello, I am an Iu Mien Vietnamese therapist. My goal in therapy is for you as the individual to feel safe, seen, and heard in the therapeutic process. I believe once this is established then we can begin to work side by side on the things that may be weighing on you. I believe all the tools needed to meet your holistic (Biopsychosocial spiritual) wellness goals are already within you. My hope in working together in the therapeutic process is to be a support to build upon your own sense of knowing.

My approach as a support: I believe in taking therapy at your pace. As we begin to meet, I will draw on your feedback and listen to the needs and hopes you have for your healing journey. I typically will take an intersectional approach, taking into account aspects of identity such as culture, gender, sexual orientation, economic status, immigrant and refugee status, ability, and much more. Using these skills, we can center how impacts of stress and trauma can show up in the body, mind, and spirit. Bringing to awareness how that may show up for you (as every individual is unique and different) and finding avenues toward growth.

I typically utilize:
  • Narrative therapy

  • Somatic experiencing

  • Attachment theory

  • Mindful-holistic approach

  • Relaxation techniques

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy

  • DBT skills

  • Nonviolent communication

  • Humanistic, strengths based approaches

  • Anti-oppressive practices

  • Critical Race theory

  • Family Systems theory

Specific needs I can support with:

  • Domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault

  • Oppression

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Low self estem/self efficacy

  • Psychosis

  • Trauma symptoms

  • Attachment
