Tanuja Carlson, LMFT, CCM (she/her)

About me: I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals learn how to create change through self-exploration, growth, and healing. I am passionate about helping others understand what prevents them from achieving the change they desire. I value a collaborative approach, counseling from a place of understanding, trust, and non-judgement. I focus on the needs and values of the client, which I believe contributes to building confidence in the therapy process, as well as in meeting your goals.

My hope is to establish a therapeutic environment of respect, safety, and acceptance, with the intention of sharing an experience that can lead to meaningful change for you. I draw from various modes of therapy, including Object Relations Theory, which explores the ways in which early relationships/experiences influence our current patterns of behavior. Other styles of treatment that I incorporate are Attachment-Based Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems and Narrative Therapy.

If you are looking for support and guidance related to challenging circumstances, or you’re ready for change and feel this may be a good fit for you, I look forward to our work together.
